Why You Should Attend This Symposium:

The FY ‘22 DoD budget details how the future character of warfare will be defined more by information than by hardware. DoD spending on overall IT capabilities increased by 7.8 percent over FY ’21. The integration of commercial information technology (IT) products with legacy electronic warfare (EW) technologies will continue to accelerate. EW spending through 2025 is expected to remain stable, and the US Department of Defense (DoD) electronic warfare market is estimated to reach $3.6 billion by 2025. Joint service EW planning is gaining priority as multi-domain concepts of operations, joint battle management, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) jamming technology, electromagnetic spectrum deception, and mitigation and anti-jam satellite systems are deployed. DSI’s 4th Annual Information Warfare Symposium will offer attendees actionable discussions and debate on how such technologies are currently being deployed to enhance the modern battlefield & aide joint efforts toward achieving a decisive information advantage. The Information Warfare Symposium will focus on how the DoD & each of the services are developing their information warfare capabilities to enable decision dominance for Combatant Commanders as well as freedom of maneuver, increased lethality for the Warfighter at the tactical edge.

Senior Leaders at this event will detail how they are utilizing EW & Cyber effects to defend U.S. weapons systems & an exponentially expanding trove of military data. They will also explain how information superiority & spectrum dominance will need to be achieved in order to be successful in the digital battlespace. Attendees at this forum will have the chance to hear about how the services are continuing to work toward building a synergetic approach by having information operations specialists work alongside cyber operators, to give the Warfighter the expertise needed to compete in the future fight. Acquisition priorities such as the fielding of electronic protection (EP) technologies to better protect systems from jamming and signal spoofing attempts by the adversary will also be discussed at this forum. Finally, there will be a panel of Senior level experts that will examine current initiatives toward implementing the DoD’s Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations Superiority strategy as a critical component for mission success.
